Blog anniversary!

Friday 27 September 2013

Wihoeee, today this blog exists for 3 years! A good reason for some balloons, wine and good muuuuusic!
I want to thank you all for reading and supporting my blog (i know, quite corny, but i want to say it anyway) and making me smile everyday :) So many great things happened due this blog, and i just can't imagine how it would be without if you find style. I have to admit, i considered quitting quite a few times, but i'm so glad i didn't! Otherwise i would've never met so many wonderful people, and done these amazing things like visiting amsterdam fashion week. Thank you all so much!

Marshmallow cookies

Wednesday 25 September 2013

The days are getting colder and colder, so going outside everyday isn't an option anymore. Don't know what to do with your spare time? Go cooking/baking!
A few weeks ago i made these marshmallow cookies (smore look-a-likes), and it was the most easy thing i ever made. And this didn't make them less delicious! Down below you can find the recipe, it will only take you 15 minutes to make them.
(I know, this is not something i normally post, but i thought it might be fun to do it for once :)

Ingredients:
-20 marie biscuits
-10 marshmallows
-4 tablespoons coconut shavings
-150 g pure chocolate
-chocolate sprinkles

Step 1:
Put 10 marie biscuits on a plate, place on each cookie a marshmallow.

Step 2:
Put the plate in the microwave for about 10 sec on the highest level (am i saying that correct? Level?). Keep looking while it's in the microwave, when the marshmallows have doubled their size you can get them out. Put the other 10 biscuits on top of the marshmallows. Let them cool down for 30 minutes.

Step 3:
Roast the coconut pieces 3 minutes in a frying pan without oil/butter at medium heat. Let it cool down in a bowl.
Break the chocolate in little pieces and melt them au bien-marie. Make sure it'll become a smooth paste.

Step 4:
Place the marshmallow cookies in the chocolate, so that the whole piece will be covered. Put them on a piece of baking paper. Sprinkle some chocolate on one side of the cookie, turn it around and sprinkle the coconut on the other side. Of course you can make your own version with other ingredients on top or just chocolate/coconut.

Let the cookies dry/the chocolate stiff for an hour and eat them all!

Sunday 22 September 2013

As i already told you, i went to Amsterdam yesterday. And it was such a wonderful day! I met Maike at 9.30 and we headed towards the IJhallen (huge flea market). Bought some real treasures there, such as the candlestick and sweater below. After wandering around at the IJhallen for a couple of hours we went to the Jutka & Riska garage sale. Photobooth, redcup punch, DJ, wardrobe sellers, feather extensions: you could all find it there!
A little exhausted we landed at a cafeteria later that day. We had some coffee, tea and nice talks. It was so nice to meet you Maike, you're such a sweet and pretty girl :)
